In which my life moves forward, but pictures continue to be absent

I'm about 95% sure I have an internship! It's with a group called Oxfam that just opened up a new building down the street from my classes! I just wandered in-- after someone from IES called-- and asked if they wanted someone to work for them for free and they were like yes! We need someone who can speak English (they sell a bunch of Anglophone books as well as French books). Woohoo!
My art history class is going to be great. We get cards to get into all of the art museums for free whenever we want! Yay! My translation class should be tricky but we're going to translate some fun stuff-- Lord of the Rings and Alice in Wonderland, to name a few.
Today there was a strike on the metro! I thought this meant I would be walking the six miles to class but apparently strike on the metro should be read as "metro gets annoyingly crowded and slower". We left 20 minutes early and needed 5 or so of those minutes. On the way back, I saw a bunch of people actually protesting. There were drums and huge posters, so it was pretty sweet looking. I wanted to go take a picture, but thought that could get awkward quickly, so I just got on the metro. It was funny!
I think that's about it. Miles, my host dad, is cooking for us. He's British, so I'm a bit skeptical...
